Nigeria is confronted with myriad of complex security issues that pose serious implications for internal security. This paper examines the multifaceted nature of these challenges, which include widespread insurgency, terrorism, communal clashes, banditry, and kidnapping, militancy, armed robbery, Herdsmen-Farmers. The implications of these security threats on the country’s internal security are profound. It leads to loss of lives, destruction of property, displacement of communities, and undermining of socio-economic development. This paper explores the root causes of these security challenges, analyzes their implications on Nigeria's social fabric and economic development, and highlights the urgent need for cohesive and sustainable security strategies to safeguard the country's internal stability.
