MANAGEMENT OF DEAF PERSONS USING THE PRINCIPLES OF RELIGIOUS STUDIES, AND HUMAN RELATIONS: IMPLICATIONS AND IMPERATIVES

Emmanuel Ajakor Albert Ulutorti Green
Abstract

The management of deaf persons, informed by principles of religious studies and human relations, necessitates a holistic approach that integrates spiritual, ethical, and interpersonal dimensions. Religious studies offer valuable insights into empathy, compassion, and respect for diversity, which can enhance the inclusivity and supportiveness of environments for deaf individuals. Human relations principles emphasize effective communication, mutual respect, and the building of strong, positive relationships. Together, these frameworks underscore the importance of creating adaptive strategies, promoting equality, and ensuring that the unique needs and perspectives of deaf persons are acknowledged and valued. The implications include fostering a more inclusive society, while the imperatives involve continuous education, policy adjustments, and proactive community engagement to bridge gaps and promote holistic well-being. The integration of religious studies and human relations principles in managing deaf persons is imperative for creating an inclusive society that values diversity and promotes the holistic development of all its members. This approach not only enhances the quality of life for deaf individuals but also enriches the broader community by fostering a culture of empathy, respect, and mutual support.
