This study examined the impact of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) adoption on administrative productivity in Nnewi North Local Government Area (2020–2024). A survey research design will be adopted. The sample size, calculated using Taro Yamane’s formula, will consist of 400 participants selected through an accidental sampling technique. Instruments for data collection will include a structured questionnaire and a key informant interview guide. Data collected through the questionnaire was analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS), employing both descriptive and inferential statistical tools. Interview data was analyzed using textual analysis and served to complement the questionnaire results. The study found that ICT adoption in Nnewi North Local Government Area has improved communication, transparency, and citizen engagement through digital platforms such as social media and the official website. However, the automation of revenue collection has had limited impact due to low technological adoption, poor awareness, and residents’ reluctance to embrace digital payment systems. The study recommended that Nnewi North Local Government Council should enhance communication and service delivery by actively maintaining social media, managing emails efficiently, and providing timely responses to residents’ inquiries. Additionally, the council should educate residents on using online payment platforms and continuously support and monitor automated revenue systems to improve compliance and increase internal revenue generation.
