Political upheaval in Africa can be caused by a number of factors, including economic instability, corruption, ethnic and tribal conflicts, human rights abuses, and external interference from other countries. Many African countries have also experienced a legacy of colonialism, which has left deep social and economic divides, as well as authoritarian governments that have suppressed political opposition. Additionally, the lack of strong institutions and the failure of some governments to provide basic services and address the needs of their citizens can also lead to political instability and upheaval. Ultimately, the specific causes of political upheaval in Africa can vary greatly from one situation to another. It is these factors that bring about political unrest that the writer aims at discussing in this paper. With the methodological approach of philosophical inquiry, the study intends to effectively examine the causes of political upheaval in Africa.
