As technological progress and the quest for human enhancement continue to redefine the frontiers of human existence, comprehending the philosophical foundations of these advancements becomes imperative. Against this backdrop, this study critically examines the tension between Nietzsche’s notion of self-overcoming and the transhumanist pursuit of technological enhancement. The study, utilizing the philosophical methods of hermeneutics and analysis, demonstrates that Nietzsche's ideas, especially the "Will to Power" and the "Übermensch," profoundly impact transhumanist principles, informing its perspectives on human enhancement and life extension. The findings emphasize that Nietzsche's impact on transhumanism prompts significant ethical and metaphysical inquiries on its consequences for human life, highlighting the necessity for a more profound comprehension of their connection. The study concludes that analyzing the relationship between Nietzsche's philosophy and transhumanist ideology is essential for informing public dialogue regarding the ethical and social implications of transhumanism, thereby providing guidance for responsible and ethical choices in the advancement of transhumanist technologies.
