Abstract

Teaching and learning are simultaneous in the practise of Knowledge acquisition and are synonymous concepts in the delivery of educational instruction. Unless you have the power of critical analysis, linguistic competence and communication, of course, what you know as knowledge remains and dies with you. But knowledge which is power, as such is to be shared and communicated in an acceptable civilized language. Therefore, the teacher and the learner of any form of knowledge must be competent with the language of instruction. This paper, therefore, using the method of critical review and exposition finds out that the teacher must as well as the student be critical, creative, proficient, fluent and be able to grapple, fathom out and grasps with the language of teaching and learning. Many students are academically poor, reasonably down as without common sense and the teacher instructionally halting because they lack the needed competency and power of critical review in their different scholarly dispositions. Equally this paper recommends effective-creative literacy and proper linguistic mastery and disposition if sound knowledge must be transferred and received.
