Abstract

This study investigated teachers' attitudes towards ICT integration in secondary school administration in Awka South Local Government Area (LGA) of Anambra State. The study was guided by four research questions and adopted a descriptive survey research design. The population consisted of 604 teachers from 19 public secondary schools in Awka South LGA, with all teachers participating in the study. A researcher-developed questionnaire, "Attitudes of Teachers to Information and Communication Technology Usage in School Management Questionnaire (ATICTUSMQ)," was used for data collection. The instrument was validated by experts and yielded a reliability value of 0.78 using Cronbach Alpha. Data analysis was based on 593 properly filled questionnaires, representing a 98% return rate. Mean and standard deviation were used to answer research questions. The findings revealed that teachers have high self-efficacy, willingness, and enthusiasm towards ICT integration in secondary school administration, as well as low anxiety levels. Based on the findings, it was recommended that the Post Primary Schools Service Commission organize annual capacity-building programs to enhance teachers' skills and reduce anxiety towards ICT use in school management.
