QUADRIPARTITE EXAMINATIONS FOR MERE MAIDEN ADMISSION INTO NIGERIAN TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS: QUESTIONING THE MULTIPLICANDS

Abstract

Tertiary institution, the apex for teaching and learning, is the hub in the network of formation and pronouncement of finding graduates and post-graduates worthy in character and learning after years of admission and sojourn in our higher institutions. However, there is this deeprooted problematiques in getting into any of such institutions within Nigerian Educational System informed by her National Policy on Education (NPE). And that has to with the number of internal and question of external examinations students sit for. This paper using method of critical presentations and analysis questions the multiplicands that test only one domain of learning, cognitive, and of course, offers that other domains of learning in tandem and in consonance with years of studies in secondary school alongside testimonial ought to count for maiden admissions in our different tertiary institutions.
