Perambulatory Remarks am profoundly grateful to the organisers of this conference for giving me the privilege to deliver a keynote speech to this Iimportant academic concourse. I see my presence here as an honour and I appreciate the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Dr Sir Paul Chukuma. I share with the Chairman of Council two things. (1) We are both learned colleagues (2) we share the same affinity as philosophers – he is a graduate of philosophy and I am a fellow of the most prestigious philosophical association in Nigeria – the Philosophers Association of Nigeria (PAN).
