The Place of an African Woman in a Globalized World: A Socio- cultural and Religious Perspective
Globalization is such a wide topic. Talking about women in a globalised world entails so many such as rights of women in education, health employment opportunities, economic and political contribution, social, religious contributions among many. The aim of this paper is to assess how far the African woman has come since globalization. It begins with a critical survey of the change globalization has brought to the African cultures, if any, and how far. It will argue that globalization has not made much change for the African woman. The approach of many scholars may have come from a secular perspective in the discussion on issues of women, but being persons of faith who have grown up in the church, our approach will rather be a socio – cultural and Religious.
