ESSENCE: Interdisciplinary- International Journal of Concerned African Philosophers

This article examines contemporary national crises through a theodicy framework, arguing that Genesis 12:3 “I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee” is being invoked in real time Between 2000 and 2026. Using case studies from Germany, the United Kingdom, Nigeria, South Africa, and Iran, alongside documented economic collapses, xenophobic unrest, and unprecedented wildfires in Europe, the paper proposes that spiritual law produces psycho-kinetic national consequences. Drawing on German theologians, UK political analysts, Nigerian scholars, and Jewish commentators, this work contends that the Abrahamic covenant remains an active principle in international relations.
