This piece of work explores the thesis that there are quite a number of things in the culture of any people and in this case Africa, through which the gospel may lean on to spread. Some of these points of contacts are in the legends of the people and their system of government. The culture of the people is very helpful to explain the Christian faith more meaningfully to people. This is because, using those models to explain the gospel makes the faith they receive to be theirs but not as something foreign that was imposed upon them. This work however while acknowledging the culture of the people as a vehicle to explain the gospel, it affirms the uniqueness of Christ and his message. This work is in essence saying that Christ exists in culture but we should make every effort not to see more of Christ in it than it is necessary.
