ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND HUMAN ATTRIBUTES: A MORAL APPRAISAL

Abstract

The advancements in science and technology with respect to artificial intelligence comes to fore in this chapter as it poses a serious debate on the seemingly ontological peculiarities of both the human person and these machines. This however, tends to pose moral questions which must be evaluated not only by modern scientist but also philosophers, as it concerns personhood. Thus, the moral questions’ concerning artificial intelligence is what this article addresses.Adopting a comparative approach of both phenomena and evaluating succinctly to a conclusion that exalts the dignity and freedom of man of which the efficiency of artificial intelligences is no substitute for.
