Prompted by the unique character and problem of contemporary atheism, this article attempts to offer help to those for whom the question of God's existence is an open one'. It draws its arguments vigorously from Thomas Aquinas' discourse on God articulating in a convincing manner the reasons in holding to the claim for God’s existence. Belief in God therefore, is of rational plausibility and possibility. It can therefore be described as a “reasonable certitude” justified on rational ground.
